Abstract :
Reason for the consultation
77-year-old patient who, in October 2015, went to the community pharmacy with a fever, cough and mucosity. He was referred to his family doctor and then to the hospital to be hospitalized with a diagnosis of pneumonia.
He went back to the pharmacy about one month later (November 2015) and mentioned lack of appetite, anxiety, insomnia and gastric discomfort (stomach ache and nausea).
He was offered the pharmacotherapeutical monitoring service (SFT in the Spanish acronym) and a specific COPD approach which uses the EPOCA program as a methodology for specific monitoring of his respiratory condition.
