Abstract :

Young patient whose main diagnosis is depression with a background of suicide attempts using benzodiazepines comes to the pharmacy asking to be included in the Multicompartment Compliance Aids (MCA) Service. This is an unusual case of MCA due to her profile: young, with no cognitive problems, moderate polypharmacy and simple dosages.

Patient's medication experience was studied and we achieved an agreement to involve her family into the process and to divide the MCA in three weekly parts instead of one in order to reduce medication avaliability at home and to increase her own and her family's quality of life. This is all reinforced thanks to the establishment and development of the therapeutic relationship.
