Abstract :

“What can you give me for”, minor symptoms, pharmaceutical advice... These are just different ways of referring to the same activity, which has been going on in pharmacies from time immemorial. According to the consensus document on Pharmaceutical Care, and subsequently the Pharmaceutical Care Forum, it is the activity where a patient asks us for a solution to a health problem (1-3). This happens in pharmacies, but also in health food stores, drug stores, perfume stores, specialist food stores, etc., as well as among friends, neighbors and colleagues. Obviously, the patient's expectations and the quality of the solution provided are not the same in the pharmacy as in other establishments. In the pharmacy there is a qualified healthcare professional who works with consensus-based scientific procedures.
